Thank you for your interest in learning more about Westridge School. We are pleased you have chosen to explore our community and hope that you find Westridge to be the right fit for your daughter.

As an independent 4-12 school for college-bound girls, Westridge represents an opportunity for students to form lasting relationships, discover talents and abilities, and develop a sense of responsibility and responsiveness to others. We know that our graduates are entering a world that will ask much of them, not only that they give of their skills and talents, but also that they live caring and generous lives. To be useful and rewarding, knowledge must be grounded in an ethic of caring and commitment.

While at Westridge, girls will play on athletic teams, act in plays, sing in a chorus, understand the complexities of mathematical principles and concepts, explore science through scores of experiments, learn a foreign language, read Shakespeare and study Latin. They will learn to think for themselves and to trust their own judgment. They will find mentors and friends. They will learn to compete and trust their teammates. Through all of this, they will learn who they are, what they value and what they have to offer others, because this is a community in which the work of the institution falls to the girls and young women of the school — they produce the newspaper and the yearbook; they write the poetry and the short stories; they run student government and plan their own activities. They are the school.

No Web site can do justice to the essence of a school. We invite you to attend one of our admission Open House events or tour the campus during school hours to experience the vibrant Westridge community first hand.
